A gift for my granddaughter who loved the book; she has read it three times and wanted her own copy to highlight passages and quotes.
Such a lovely book
Our chemical hearts simply grabbed my from the cover. I loved the story line & the characters. From the jump I felt the similarities to Eleanor and park just an older and modern version. Henry page was such an awesome character for me, guy perspective books are hard for me sometimes because I never feel like the characters connect to their story. But Henry did. I found myself laughing, I found myself feeling bad for grace town, I found myself loving them. It was such a great read, i highlighted a whole bunch in this book. I would suggest it to someone else. So if you haven't read it, do so!
This is a book that you know is the one who will break your heart. You give it a chance even though you can already see the mountain of tissue and cat videos it will take to make you alright again when it dumps you on your rear. In the end, though, you will survive this catastrophic heart break, and you learn some things about love and about perspective. I enjoyed the journey - the funny, funny times and the bad, black ones as well. I thought about it all day and talked about it to folks who didn't care, and that means it is really a book worth picking up.
Can't get into it.
A new favorite. There's so much mystery about both characters that it makes it impossible to put down the book. Every page had something new to it, whether it be a clue, a defining interaction between both main characters, or a nail biting sequence of events. I found myself annoyed at the fact that I couldn't read it fast enough. A great story. And, easily pictured as a movie. Worth the money!
This is a some what coming of age with a twist. The author has excellent writing skills. Her words just flow smoothly across the pages. I enjoyed reading her words. The storyline made me think about teens who have lost classmates/friends and my heart ached. I could not put my kindle down. I was pulled into the story from page one. I cried and laughed many times during my read. I fell in love with these characters. In the end I was happy with the last chapter because love is love. We are humans and we love many. This opened my mind up to her point of views about love and loss. I totally agree with her words.
